Dear all,
grab your ShanShui mug and pour yourself a nice tea, sit down and take the time to read!
Last week at the end of June was our last week at Powerspot. What a magnificent gift it was to see you practice and observe the evolution, the progression since the opening of my classes in 2007 at Espace Schiffers then at Parc des Bruyères, in Paris, until today at Powerspot. What a beautiful road we have traced together.
In recent months and weeks, there has been a very particular receptivity to the classes, which was expressed during the practice of the Slow Form on our last Thursday evening at the Powerspot. It was wonderful. There was a beautiful collective energy of gentleness, anchoring and connection. We were accompanied by the light of the setting sun, with its beautiful warm colors coming through the porthole. It was a magical and precious moment that will remain engraved in our hearts.
Thank you to all the advanced students and then to the intermediate students for being able to create great emulation within all the groups and for always welcoming the new ones warmly. Thank you to the new ones for integrating so easily into the group.
Thanks to Camille, Marie Odile and Étienne, thanks to their regular practice for having passed the 1st Duan and thank you to Camille and Étienne for boosting everyone's level by passing the CAM assistant diploma. Congratulations!
I taught the subtle flavors of Tai Chi Chuan, meditation, awareness of the body in movement in a curious and open exploration. With patience, trust and joy, I shared with you what was important to me because Tai Chi Chuan is an art of living. The quality of your attention which is refined year after year during the practice of Tai Chi Chuan constitutes a metamorphosis. It is not the quantity of Forms that we practice that will give our level of practice, but how we are present to what we practice, how we inhabit the movement. The repetition of the Form is a path of endless patience and knowledge, if one is open, persevering and disciplined.
Sunday, we met at the "Chinatown Olympiades" for a delicious and festive meal, Thai-style pineapple salad, assorted rotisserie, wasabi shrimp, asparagus and crab soup, duck with 8 treasures, steamed turbot, fried rice, fragrant sautéed mushrooms and broccoli, fruits and frozen dessert. A warm meal surrounded by all of you. No big speeches but a deep and sincere thank you for your presence in the restaurant and in class, for your practice, for the connections that have been made and the collective joy of getting together.
A big thank you for the fabulous XXL card signed by all of you, with your little words which touched me deeply, I read them, reread them and I will read them again.
A big thank you also for this generous envelope as well as the transfers, you have spoiled me because everything will pay for my plane ticket to the US and Master Tung Chen Wei's master camp, incredible!!!!! I will think of you 🙏
The mug with the triptych that you received is a memory of our beautiful place of practice and the bond that binds us.
Remember, for the old ones, it was at Espace Schiffers that you had already offered me an incredible envelope for the decoration of my future Powerspot room that I had just purchased, and Vincent my husband was able to create the triptych thanks to you. The triptych is more than 3 magnificent photos, it is the symbol of our room and our beautiful story that we have woven between us and I take it with me while waiting to find a new place for it.
I now know that some will go to the MJC on Monday, others on Friday with Pierrette, and that other advanced people will go with Sophie Nédo, that's what I wanted, the wheel is turning.
I will leave at the end of August for Boston and will start my Tai Chi Trip in the US in Connecticut by visiting John who came to practice at Powerspot. I will go to the classes of his teacher Chris, who is a long-time friend then I will go to Master Chen Wei's Master camp then to my Tai Chi teacher friends in New Hampshire, Vermont, I will go to practice with Nancy who she also came to visit us. I will keep you updated on the site and on Instagram.
Then I'm going to travel with Vincent and my whole family, and as you know I have training waiting for me.
Give me a gap year and we'll meet again at an internship.
I confirm that the ShanShui site remains open and I will enrich it. I invite you to take a look, there is something to read and reread and meditate on: Link to the site
