Dear all,
A big thank you again to all my students, because I fulfilled a wish that was close to my heart and my 5-week trip to the American East Coast was magnificent.
5 weeks of practice and discoveries with my master Master Tung Chen Wei and with my American friends, Tai chi chuan teachers and practitioners.
My stays at Sandy Island camp with Master Tung Chen Wei, with Paul and Viki in New Hampshire, in Connecticut and the Washington mountains with Chris, or at Nancy's in Vermont were rich in lessons for my practice whether it was Form, applications, Fast, Family, Duilien, Tuishou, 3 steps, 4 corners, sabre, épée and Kai Re.
Thanks to the teaching of Master Chen Wei and his personal corrections, to the subtle practice of Paul, Viki, Chris in the work in pairs on the quality of the pushes and responses, I was able to taste the very essence of what motivated this trip for my practice.
My stays with John and Catherine in Connecticut, with Viki and Paul in New Hampshire or with Nancy and Ian in Vermont allowed me to travel and discover part of the East Coast from Boston to the edge of Canada with breathtaking landscapes, immersed in wild nature where it was possible to meet bears, swim in rivers or in magnificent lakes, such as Frog beach, Dolittle lake, Hermit beach, Mirror lake...
I also discovered the magnificent view of the White Mountains with Maggy.
Magnificent practices and daily swims but also precious moments around a fire to discuss, to observe the marvelous skies far from the lights of the cities, and to live to the rhythm of the sun.
I practiced in unusual places, with Chris in a magnificent church with Tiffany art nouveau stained glass windows, in Viki and Paul's dojo immersed in nature, in the Sandy Island dojo facing the lake surrounded by our wooden cabins with Master Tung Chen Wei, in a gymnasium straight out of American films in Ashland, but also barefoot in nature...
I had exceptionally beautiful weather, I was able to appreciate nature, the magnificent full moon of September 17, but also the foliage that was starting to change colors.
Thanks to all my American friends who spoiled me and allowed me to have a wonderful trip, and thanks to my students for offering me the round-trip ticket from Paris to Boston and the Sandy Island Master camp.
Take the time to take a break, prepare yourself a tea to go on a trip with me: the link to the photo album of my trip
Good practices to all!
Big hugs
Corinne
